Cannot dertermine if updating rss feed
The actual data will often come from existing content, such as from a HTML page, or a news feed (the same data being presented in different formats).
If you decide to keep RSS Feeds in an Outlook Data File (.pst) file, you will only have access to those items on the computer where the file is located.
RSS Feeds that save items to a folder located within your Exchange mailbox are available to you from any computer with Outlook that connects to your Exchange account, including if you connect to your Exchange account by using Outlook Anywhere or from Outlook Web Access.
However, this predefined RSS folder continues to show me the splash screen.

In it, you mentioned that the feeds are normally consumed by a feed reader.
For most sites there is a CRON job that automatically picks up new content and generates updated versions of the feed at regular intervals. I posted this question, a few hours later an expert answered, I responded that same day and did not hear anything for five days.
